The Montwood Rams basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Pebble Hills Spartans to 41 in the Rams league triumph on Friday.

The Rams now sport a 17-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastwood for a 6A Region I District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Montwood will meet a Troopers team coming off a 69-27 league win over Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Troopers record now stands at 20-9.

The Spartans (16-10) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin (El Paso, TX). The Cougars enter the 6A Region I District 1 contest with a 19-6 record. In their last contest, Franklin ran past Eastlake (El Paso, TX), 56-53, in a league contest.
