In their next game, the Pirates face the Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) in a 7A Region 3 game, on Tuesday, January 30. Pearl will attempt to move on its 17-8 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 15-11 record after their 48-19 non-league win over Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS).

With the defeat, Northwest Rankin moves to 7-17 on the year. The Cougars host Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS) to face the Warriors in a 7A Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 30. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 7-14. Oak Grove lost 66-42 in their recent league game against Brandon (Brandon, MS)
