The Pearl Pirates (Pearl, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS), 55-51 in Tuesday's league test.
The Pirates (13-6) will now prepare for their test against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers go into the 7A Region 3 test with a 10-9 record. In their last test, Petal was tipped by Meridian (Meridian, MS), 55-49, in a league test.
