The Tharptown Wildcats basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Sheffield Bulldogs to 45 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Phil Campbell for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Tharptown will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 46-44 league win over Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL). The Bobcats record now stands at 8-15.
The Bulldogs (0-17) will now prepare for their contest against Shoals Christian (Florence, AL). The Flame enter the non-league contest with a 12-12 record. In their last contest, Shoals Christian nudged Cherokee (Cherokee, AL), 79-58, in a league game.
