The Thomaston Bears basketball team (Thomaston, CT), was nudged 71-65 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT)

The Spartans now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Terryville for a Berkshire battle on Tuesday, January 30. Shepaug Valley will battle a Kangaroos team coming off a 58-53 league loss to Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Kangaroos record now stands at 7-5.

The Bears (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against Windsor Locks (Windsor Locks, CT). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 10-2 record.
