The Thrasher Rebels basketball team (Booneville, MS), was overwhelmed 64-41 in Friday's league battle with the host Wheeler Eagles (Wheeler, MS)

The Eagles now possess a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Baldwyn for a 1A Region 1 battle on Monday, January 29. Wheeler will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 67-27 league win over Tremont (Tremont, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 14-5.

The Rebels (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against East Union (Blue Springs, MS). The Urchins come into the non-league battle with a 12-8 record. In their last battle, East Union trounced Hatley (Amory, MS), 47-44, in a league battle.
