Wayne Country Day Chargers (Goldsboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), 72-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Wayne Country Day upgrades its record to 22-8 on the season. The Chargers host Epiphany (New Bern, NC) to clash with the Falcons in a NCISAA Coastal Plain bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-17. Epiphany lost 76-24 in their recent league bout against Greenfield (Wilson, NC)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Greenfield Knights (Wilson, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Plain bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Wayne Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record.
