Gospel Light Christian Lions (Hot Springs, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Abundant Life Owls (North Little Rock, AR), 49-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Gospel Light Christian upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Lions host Southwest Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR) to clash with the Lions in a Freelance bout on Friday, February 2. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Southwest Christian Academy lost 35-21 in their recent league bout against Christian Ministries Academy (Hot Springs, AR)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Mountain Home Christian Academy Eagles (Mountain Home, AR) in a Heartland Christian bout, on Saturday, January 27. Abundant Life will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record.
