In Friday's league outing, the Central Warriors (Elkader, IA) basketball squad beat the host Clayton-Ridge Eagles (Guttenburg, IA), by a count of 39-28.

The Warriors (10-6) will now prepare for their outing against Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA). The Trojans go into the Upper Iowa outing with a 6-10 record. In their last outing, Turkey Valley was topped by Spring Grove (Spring Grove, MN), 48-40, in a non-league outing.

The Eagles now hold a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to MFL MarMac for a Upper Iowa outing on Tuesday, January 30. Clayton-Ridge will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 66-31 league win over West Central (Maynard, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-5.
