The Luverne Tigers basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Central Lions to 16 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Goshen for a 2A Area 4 contest on Saturday, January 27.
The Lions (0-16) will now prepare for their contest against Ellwood Christian (Selma, AL). The Eagles enter the 1A Area 5 contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Ellwood Christian was routed by Southside (Selma, AL), 46-35, in a non-league contest.
