The Locust Grove Pirates basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Fort Gibson Tigers to 42 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hilldale for a Verdigris Valley contest on Tuesday, January 30. Locust Grove will battle a Hornets team coming off a 45-42 league loss to Wagoner (Wagoner, OK). The Hornets record now stands at 4-9.
The Tigers (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ada (Ada, OK). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Ada was defeated by Idabel (Idabel, OK), 67-38, in a non-league contest.
