Fort Gibson Tigers (Fort Gibson, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Locust Grove Pirates (Locust Grove, OK), 51-49 in a league bout.
With the win, Fort Gibson upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers host Hilldale (Muskogee, OK) to play the Hornets in a Verdigris Valley bout on Friday, December 1. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Hilldale won 66-14 in their recent non-league bout against Okmulgee (Okmulgee, OK)
Next up, the Pirates play the Salina Wildcats (Salina, OK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Locust Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
