The Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD) basketball knocked off the host Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD), 48-38 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (9-4) will now prepare for their test against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, St. Mary's Ryken went down by Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD), 95-25, in a league test.

The Lions now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Winters Mill for a Carroll County test on Tuesday, January 30. Liberty will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 53-42 league loss to Century (Sykesville, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 0-11.
