Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 43-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Havelock upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Rams travel to South Central (Winterville, NC) to clash with the Falcons in a 3A/4A Big Carolina bout on Monday, January 29. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 15-2. South Central won 54-12 in their recent league bout against Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC)

Next up, the Bears clash with the J.H. Rose Rampants (Greenville, NC) in a 3A/4A Big Carolina bout, on Monday, January 29. New Bern will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Rampants go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 66-32 league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC).
