The Havelock Rams basketball team scored 36 points and restricted the visiting New Bern Bears to 30 in the Rams league victory on Tuesday.

The Rams now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Carteret for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Havelock will battle a Mariners team coming off a 62-54 non-league win over Washington (Washington, NC). The Mariners record now stands at 7-1.

The Bears (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Cardinals come into the 3A/4A Big Carolina contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Jacksonville held off White Oak (Jacksonville, NC), 62-34, in a non-league bout.
