Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Pike Eagles (Magnolia, MS) and the visiting Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS), saw South Pike's basketball squad wallop Jefferson County by a tally of 49-16.

With the victory, South Pike improves its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Franklin County (Meadville, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-17. Franklin County lost 50-38 in their recent league challenge against Wesson (Wesson, MS)

Next up, the Tigers play the Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS) in a 3A Region 7 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Jefferson County will attempt to improve on its 3-18 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-18 record after their 32-12 league loss to South Pike (Magnolia, MS).
