The South Pike Eagles (Magnolia, MS) basketball felled the host Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS), 43-34 in Tuesday's league test.

The Eagles (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Franklin County (Meadville, MS). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region 7 test with a 3-13 record. In their last test, Franklin County was beaten by Wesson (Wesson, MS), 30-23, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Collins for a non-league test on Saturday, January 13. Jefferson County will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 61-25 league loss to Heidelberg (Heidelberg, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 4-15.
