The Sulligent Blue Devils basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Lamar County Bulldogs to 19 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Friday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Haleyville for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Sulligent will battle a Lions team coming off a 41-32 league loss to Cordova (Cordova, AL). The Lions record now stands at 6-16.

The Bulldogs (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Brilliant (Brilliant, AL). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 18-8 record. In their last contest, Brilliant was routed by Hamilton (Hamilton, AL), 72-28, in a non-league contest.
