The Cougars now possess a 24-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lovelady for a 2A Region III District 20 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Leon will confront a Lions team coming off a 67-26 league win over Groveton (Groveton, TX). The Lions record now stands at 19-7.

The Tigers (2-15) will now prepare for their battle against Grapeland (Grapeland, TX). The Sandies come into the 2A Region III District 20 battle with a 11-12 record. In their last battle, Grapeland was overwhelmed by Centerville (Centerville, TX), 45-40, in a league battle.
