With the victory, Leon upgrades its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Lovelady (Lovelady, TX) to play the Lions in a 2A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, January 12. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 13-7. Lovelady won 57-19 in their recent league bout against Groveton (Groveton, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX) in a 2A Region III District 20 bout, on Friday, January 12. Latexo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Sandies come into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 45-43 league loss to Centerville (Centerville, TX).
