North Carolina High School Basketball - Lee County over Union Pines

January 26, 2024: Cameron, NC 28326

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) and the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), saw Lee County's basketball squad overcome Union Pines by a tally of 49-38.

With the victory, Lee County improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to confront the Bucks in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Bucks come into the challenge with a record of 3-14. Hoke County lost 77-45 in their recent league challenge against Scotland (Laurinburg, NC)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge, on Friday, February 2. Union Pines will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record.
