New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Marshall Tigers (Marshall, MN), 67-65 in a league bout.

With the win, New Ulm upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Mankato West (Mankato, MN) to clash with the Scarlets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Scarlets go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Mankato West lost 76-55 in their recent non-league bout against Owatonna (Owatonna, MN)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 14-2 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 80-40 non-league win over Blue Earth (Blue Earth, MN).
