In Friday's league outing, the Riverside Bulldogs (Avon, MS) basketball squad felled the visiting North Side Gators (Shelby, MS), by a margin of 48-31.

The Bulldogs (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Charleston (Charleston, MS). The Tigers go into the 2A Region 3 outing with a 16-2 record. In their last outing, Charleston thwarted O'Bannon (Greenville, MS), 57-19, in a league outing.

The Gators now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Charleston for a 2A Region 3 outing on Monday, January 29. North Side will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 45-12 league win over Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 14-2.
