The Pine Eagle Spartans basketball team (Halfway, OR), was overwhelmed 41-18 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Powder Valley Badgers (North Powder, OR)
The Badgers now possess a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Imbler for a 1A Old Oregon battle on Friday, February 2. Powder Valley will confront a Panthers team coming off a 39-34 league win over Wallowa (Wallowa, OR). The Panthers record now stands at 18-5.
The Spartans (5-14) will now prepare for their battle against Joseph (Joseph, OR). The Eagles come into the 1A Old Oregon battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Joseph was overwhelmed by Wallowa (Wallowa, OR), 41-29, in a league battle.
