Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Powder Valley Badgers (North Powder, OR) and the visiting Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR), saw Powder Valley's basketball squad wallop Pine Eagle by a tally of 59-32.

With the victory, Powder Valley improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Badgers host Union (Union, OR) to play the Bobcats in a 1A Old Oregon challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Union won 50-20 in their recent league challenge against Elgin (Elgin, OR)

Next up, the Spartans play the Huntington Locomotives (Huntington, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Pine Eagle will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record.
