The Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) basketball crushed the host Spruce Timberwolves (Dallas, TX), 60-33 in Friday's league test.
The Pirates (19-11) will now prepare for their test against Conrad (Dallas, TX). The Chargers go into the 5A Region II District 12 test with a 9-9 record. In their last test, Conrad was trounced by North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX), 43-26, in a league test.
The Timberwolves now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Seagoville for a 5A Region II District 12 test on Tuesday, January 30. Spruce will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 46-41 league win over Adams (Dallas, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 15-11.
