Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) and the host Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC), saw Richmond's basketball squad wallop Southern Lee by a tally of 67-17.

With the victory, Richmond improves its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC) to play the Patriots in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Pinecrest lost 46-41 in their recent league challenge against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Southern Lee will attempt to improve on its 0-14 season record. The Fighting Scots come into the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 77-45 league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
