North Carolina High School Basketball - South View edges Seventy-First

January 26, 2024: Fayetteville, NC 28304

The South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) basketball nipped the host Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC), 57-52 in Friday's league test.

The Tigers (10-4) will now prepare for their test against Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles go into the 3A/4A United 8 test with a 2-14 record. In their last test, Douglas Byrd was tipped by Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC), 61-29, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Greene Central for a non-league test on Saturday, January 27. Seventy-First will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 63-17 league loss to North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Rams record now stands at 5-12.
