Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cairo-Durham Mustangs (Cairo, NY) and the visiting Germantown Clippers (Germantown, NY), saw Cairo-Durham's basketball squad knock off Germantown by a count of 44-34.

With the victory, Cairo-Durham upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Greenville (Greenville, NY) to play the Spartans in a Section 2 Patroon challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 6-8. Greenville won 64-51 in their recent league challenge against Catskill (Catskill, NY)

Next up, the Clippers play the Taconic Hills Titans (Craryville, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Germantown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 63-55 league loss to Hudson (Hudson, NY).
