Virginia High School Basketball - Western Albemarle edges Charlottesville

The Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA), 56-49 in Friday's league contest.
The Warriors now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fishburne Military for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. Western Albemarle will meet a Caissons team coming off a 63-52 league loss to New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA). The Caissons record now stands at 6-9.
The Black Knights (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos enter the Jefferson contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Fluvanna County nudged Goochland (Goochland, VA), 71-49, in a league contest.
