Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Nowata Ironmen (Nowata, OK) and the visiting Commerce Tigers (Commerce, OK), saw Nowata's basketball squad wallop Commerce by a count of 73-50.

With the victory, Nowata upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Ironmen travel to Dewey (Dewey, OK) to play the Bulldoggers in a Northeast Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldoggers come into the challenge with a record of 6-8.

Next up, the Tigers play the Welch Wildcats (Welch, OK) in a Lucky Seven challenge, on Monday, January 30. Commerce will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
