North Carolina High School Basketball - East Wilkes ripped by South Stokes

The South Stokes Sauras basketball team scored 70 points and held the host East Wilkes Cardinals to 48 in the Sauras league triumph on Friday.

The Sauras now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Surry for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. South Stokes will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 60-45 league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-7.

The Cardinals (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams enter the 1A Conference 36 contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Starmount was routed by Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 62-49, in a league contest.
