South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), 83-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Stokes upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Sauras travel to East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-3. East Forsyth lost 75-57 in their recent league bout against Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC)

Next up, the Cardinals play the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. East Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 74-72 league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC).
