Fort Stockton Panthers (Fort Stockton, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Pecos Eagles (Pecos, TX), 50-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fort Stockton upgrades its record to 12-14 on the campaign. The Panthers host Seminole (Seminole, TX) to play the Indians in a 4A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 20-7. Seminole won 43-29 in their recent league bout against Andrews (Andrews, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Monahans Loboes (Monahans, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Pecos will attempt to upgrade on its 7-19 season record. The Loboes come into the bout with a 20-10 record after their 72-56 league loss to Greenwood (Midland, TX).
