North Carolina High School Basketball - Freedom thwarts Hibriten

The Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC), 62-52 in Friday's league test.
The Patriots (15-4) will now prepare for their test against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the 3A/4A Conference 52 test with a 10-10 record. In their last test, South Caldwell went down by Watauga (Boone, NC), 65-45, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they host Ashe County for a 3A/4A Conference 52 test on Tuesday, January 31. Hibriten will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 56-42 league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 7-12.
