The Garden City Bearkats (Garden City, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Veribest Falcons (Veribest, TX), 67-23 in Friday's league test.

The Bearkats (16-5) will now prepare for their test against Blackwell (Blackwell, TX). The Hornets go into the 1A Region II District 11 test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Blackwell was trounced by Bronte (Bronte, TX), 39-38, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 8-14 record. They play next when they travel to Robert Lee for a 1A Region II District 11 test on Friday, February 3. Veribest will encounter a Steers squad coming off a 55-28 league loss to Irion County (Mertzon, TX). The Steers record now stands at 10-16.
