Georgia High School Basketball - Jenkins County routs McIntosh County Academy

January 27, 2023: Millen, GA 30442

In Friday's league outing, the Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) basketball squad walloped the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA), by a count of 64-40.

With the victory, Jenkins County upgrades its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The War Eagles travel to Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 5-14. Edmund Burke Academy lost 63-44 in their recent league bout against Augusta Prep Day (Augusta, GA)

Next up, the Buccaneers play the Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA) in a A D2 Region 3 bout, on Saturday, January 28. McIntosh County Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 70-35 league win over Savannah Classical Academy (Savannah, GA).
