The Powell Panthers basketball team (Powell, TN), was overwhelmed 76-50 in Friday's league battle with the host Karns Beavers (Knoxville, TN)

The Beavers now possess a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Ridge for a 4A District 3 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Karns will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 55-38 non-league win over West (Knoxville, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 17-2.

The Panthers (5-16) will now prepare for their battle against Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN). The Cougars come into the 4A District 3 battle with a 8-12 record. In their last battle, Campbell County was overwhelmed by Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN), 63-54, in a league battle.
