In Friday's non-league match, the host Marquette Crusaders basketball team scored a tight 59-54 triumph over the Seneca Fighting Irish.
In their next game, the Crusaders meet the Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) in a Tri-County match, on Friday, February 3. Marquette will attempt to better on its 19-5 season record.
With the defeat, Seneca moves to 20-3 on the year. The Fighting irish travel to Manteno (Manteno, IL) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, January 28. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 8-14. Manteno lost 49-46 in their recent non-league match against Grant Park (Grant Park, IL)
