In Friday's league outing, the Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT) basketball squad edged the visiting Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT), by a margin of 76-70.

The Highlanders (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against Litchfield (Litchfield, CT). The Cowboys go into the Berkshire outing with a 4-9 record.

The Spartans now own a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Terryville for a Berkshire outing on Tuesday, January 31.
