The Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA) basketball knocked off the host Stewart County Royal Knights (Lumpkin, GA), 73-54 in Friday's league test.
The Hornets (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Pirates go into the A D2 Region 1B test with a 8-11 record. In their last test, Miller County notched a victory over Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA), 49-46, in a league test.
The Royal Knights now own a 2-17 record. They play next when they travel to Pataula Charter Academy for a A D2 Region 1A test on Tuesday, January 31. Stewart County will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 49-46 league loss to Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-16.
