The Stewart County Royal Knights basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Quitman County Hornets to 47 in the Royal Knights league triumph on Tuesday.

The Royal Knights now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pataula Charter Academy for a Freelance contest on Friday, December 16. Stewart County will meet a Panthers team coming off a 66-41 league loss to Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-7.

The Hornets (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA). The Red Devils enter the A D2 Region 1A contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Randolph-Clay was nudged by St. Anne-Pacelli (Columbus, GA), 66-36, in a non-league contest.
