With the victory, Virginia High upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Richlands (Richlands, VA) to play the Blue Tornado in a Southwest challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Blue Tornado come into the challenge with a record of 7-11.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 30. Tazewell will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Golden Wave come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 62-45 league win over Hurley (Hurley, VA).
