In Friday's league outing, the Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Booker Kiowas (Booker, TX), by a count of 65-8.
The Greyhounds (15-0) will now prepare for their outing against Stratford (Stratford, TX). The Elks go into the 2A Region I District 1 outing with a 18-9 record. In their last outing, Stratford smashed West Texas (Stinnett, TX), 46-21, in a league outing.
The Kiowas now hold a 6-19 record. They play next when they travel to Sanford-Fritch for a 2A Region I District 1 outing on Tuesday, January 31. Booker will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 59-56 league loss to Sunray (Sunray, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 13-9.
