In Friday's league outing, the Cascade Cougars (Turner, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting North Marion Huskies (Aurora, OR), by a count of 55-16.
The Cougars (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Newport (Newport, OR). The Cubs go into the 4A Oregon West outing with a 9-7 record. In their last outing, Newport was crushed by Stayton (Stayton, OR), 69-55, in a league outing.
The Huskies now hold a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Sweet Home for a 4A Oregon West outing on Tuesday, January 31. North Marion will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 58-16 league loss to Philomath (Philomath, OR). The Huskies record now stands at 4-11.
