Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Castlewood Blue Devils (Castlewood, VA), 60-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Thomas Walker upgrades its record to 2-11 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Pineville (Pineville, KY) to clash with the Mountain Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Mountain Lions go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Pineville lost 69-48 in their recent league bout against Knox Central (Barbourville, KY)

Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) in a Cumberland bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Castlewood will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 49-36 league loss to J.I. Burton (Norton, VA).
