The Thomas Walker Pioneers basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the host Castlewood Blue Devils to 32 in the Pioneers league victory on Friday.

The Pioneers now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Twin Springs for a Cumberland contest on Tuesday, January 10. Thomas Walker will battle a Titans team coming off a 42-40 non-league win over Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Titans record now stands at 5-4.

The Blue Devils (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA). The Eagles come into the Cumberland contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Rye Cove was defeated by J.I. Burton (Norton, VA), 57-25, in a league contest.
