New Mexico High School Basketball - Maxwell can't hold off Des Moines

The Des Moines Demons basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Maxwell Bears to 46 in the Demons league victory on Friday.
The Demons now sport a 3-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wagon Mound for a A District 5 contest on Saturday, January 28. Des Moines will battle a Trojans team coming off a 39-24 non-league win over San Jon (San Jon, NM). The Trojans record now stands at 7-8.
The Bears (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM). The Trojans come into the A District 5 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Wagon Mound was nudged by Des Moines (Des Moines, NM), 37-32, in a league contest.
