Des Moines Demons (Des Moines, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM), 47-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Des Moines upgrades its record to 6-19 on the season. The Demons travel to Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM) to play the Blue or Lady Blue in a A District 5 bout on Wednesday, February 15. The Blue or Lady Blue go into the bout with a record of 21-2. Roy/Mosquero won 65-31 in their recent league bout against Cimarron (Cimarron, NM)

Next up, the Bears play the Wagon Mound Trojans (Wagon Mound, NM) in a A District 5 challenge, on Thursday, February 16. Maxwell will attempt to improve on its 7-18 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 6-14 record after their 44-37 league loss to Cimarron (Cimarron, NM).
