The West Columbus Vikings basketball team (Cerro Gordo, NC), was routed 40-19 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Heide Trask Titans (Rocky Point, NC)

The Titans now sport a 3-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Columbus for a 1A/2A Conference 5 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Heide Trask will battle a Gators team coming off a 61-34 league win over Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Gators record now stands at 11-6.

The Vikings (0-15) will now prepare for their battle against South Columbus (Tabor City, NC). The Stallions come into the 1A/2A Conference 5 battle with a 4-13 record. In their last battle, South Columbus was routed by Pender (Burgaw, NC), 46-36, in a league battle.
